Thank you very much for finding some funds to keep The Education Channel alive! I believe they will make wise use of the funds to help position themselves to continue to serve its viewers with a quality service and to find alternative funding for future lean times. I just wanted to express my sincere Thanks for your support of Public Access Television. You Rose, were the only one who was honestly listening to everyone who spoke. . . I guess you got that skill from listening to your father while you were helping him deliver all those loaves of Cuban bread . . . You were a shining star on the City Council and you remain a beacon of hope on the Board of County Commissioners. . . your quote this morning in the Tribune was right on point . . . "This was not about the money. This was about partiality and picking pet projects." In my opinion it was more about certain Board members flexing their collective muscle (heads), and showing their arrogance.

Dear Commissioner Ferlita,
I first want to thank you for taking up our issue and restoring the funding for the critical clerical position in Ruskin. You cannot imagine what a relief this is to myself, our entire staff, and more importantly the clientele we serve. . . . Finally, I just want to tell you as a long-time citizen of this county how impressed I am with the level of decorum and professionalism that the board demonstrated during this unprecedented process. The level of rancor that was leveled at you by many of the public was shocking to me, especially given the nature of the problem you faced. You should all be very proud of your accomplishments and the restraint that you showed.
