Dear Rose,
I speak as a proud Democrat when I say that I continue to support keeping the EPC protection for our wetlands. And, so far, Rose, I speak for many in our county when I say that we sure are proud of you! You are like . . . well, a rose among too many thorns.

I want to thank you for your intelligence, grace, good humor and infinite patience in dealing with those purposely ignorant and shallow fools you must serve with on the BOCC. It would seem to me and my neighbors that only one Commissioner actually delves into the issues, conducts adequate research and is qualified to make tough and complicated decisions. The rest simply rely on their gut (or check their campaign contributors) and go for it - without the benefit of any education or hard facts. We want rail for transit - not more roads and sprawl. We want adequate protections for our precious green space and smart growth to go with it. Thank you for listening, learning and then voting. You’re the only person I respect in local politics.
